MACEDON. Koinon of Macedon. Time of Severus Alexander, 222-235. Triassarion (Bronze, 25,5 mm, 13.78 g, 1 h), Beroea, circa 231-235. AΛEΞANΔPOV Diademed head of Alexander to right, his hair flowing out behind; below neck trunca, thunderbolt. Rev. KOINON MAKEΔONΩN / NEΩ Alexander, his cloak streaming out behind him, and his right hand raised in salute, riding a horse walking to right. AMNG 390. With a dramatic and emotional head of Alexander and with fine, reddish brown surfaces. Minor roughness and porosity, otherwise, about extremely fine.
